The 7/7 salaried On-Call Registered Nurse provides hospice nursing care as needed, including hospice patient visits, admissions, and responses to urgent after‑hours needs. The RN works from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM Monday–Thursday and 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM Friday–Monday, following a rotating schedule of seven days on and seven days off.

• Available to receive and respond to calls from Triage during assigned shifts, making visits to patients with changing conditions and completing weekend admissions.
• Completes comprehensive and ongoing assessment of patient and family to determine hospice needs for after‑hours calls.
• Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of the nursing process.
• Assesses and evaluates patient status by writing and initiating Plan of Care, re‑evaluating patient and family/caregiver needs, and revising the plan of care as necessary.
• Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures and administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs and provides health care instructions, assists with activities of daily living, and facilitates self‑sufficiency.
• Responsible for after‑hours on‑call duties, remaining available for all calls related to patient care and making appropriate visits as necessary.
• Maintains accurate clinical notes and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state(s) of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test.
• Valid State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required if driving duties apply.

• 1+ years of recent experience in hospice/home care.
• 2+ years of nursing experience.

• Pushing, pulling, and lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds). Adapt to a variety of work conditions to ensure high‑quality patient care in a home setting.

Starting salary range: $73,000 – $99,000 annual base salary. The total compensation package may include medical/dental/vision/pet insurance, disability and life insurance, paid time off, 401(k) retirement plans, and eligibility for other compensation.
