Position: Direct Support Professional-$1000 HIRING BONUS

Direct Support Professional - $1000 Hiring Bonus

Apply for the Direct Support Professional role at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota.

Pay: $16/hour. After six months of consistent employment, eligible for a wage increase up to $16.50/hour. Receive a $1,000 hiring bonus (eligibility requirements apply).

Shifts
  • Saturday and Sunday 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Friday 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Monday 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Responsibilities
  • Provide person‑centered care that supports individuals' personal goals.
  • Build trusting relationships and offer encouragement and guidance.
  • Advocate for individuals in community engagement and essential living‑skill support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, perform record keeping, and attend periodic meetings and training as required by regulations and LSS standards.
Qualifications
  • Desire to help individuals with disabilities achieve personal hopes and dreams.
  • No education or experience required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle check.
  • Successful completion of a DHS background check.

Hiring Bonus Eligibility

To qualify for the hiring bonus, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- 40% full‑time equivalent or greater
- Stay current on all trainings
- Maintain employment in good standing
