MYP Design & Technology

At  Manav Rachna International School (MRIS), Sector 14, Faridabad , the role of an  IB MYP Design Technology (ICT) Teacher  is pivotal in delivering the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) Design curriculum. This position emphasizes fostering creativity, critical thinking, and technical proficiency among students.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Implementation:  Develop and execute engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB MYP Design framework, emphasizing the design cycle:
Inquiring and Analyzing, Developing Ideas, Creating the Solution, and Evaluating.
Skill Development:  Guide students in utilizing design thinking and problem-solving strategies to create innovative solutions, integrating both digital tools and practical design elements.
Assessment:  Evaluate student progress using MYP assessment criteria, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their development.
Classroom Management:  Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment, ensuring the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues, IB coordinators, and the school administration to ensure curriculum alignment with IB standards and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.
Professional Development:  Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay current with educational best practices and technological advancements.  Shine

Qualifications:

A  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree  in Design, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Teaching certification  relevant to the subject and grade level.
Experience teaching within the  IB MYP Design Technology  framework is highly desirable.
Proficiency in design software and familiarity with tools such as  Fusion 360, Solid Works, Key Shot, Illustrator, Sketchbook, Corel Draw , and expertise in prototyping and model-making.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
