IRTE’s College of Traffic Management & Forensic Science affiliated with National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar invites applications from experienced and disciplined professionals for the position of Dean (Academics).
The College offers two academic programs: a
B.Sc.–M.Sc. Integrated Degree in Forensic Science and a standalone M.Sc. in Forensic Science. In addition, the College conducts specialized short‑term certificate courses in Traffic Management, Road Safety Audit, and Road Accident Investigation for government authorities.
The role requires providing strategic leadership and overseeing the College’s academic and administrative functions.

Eligibility:
Candidates must possess 10–15 years of relevant experience, including engagement with government and academic bodies such as UGC, AICTE etc. They should hold distinguished academic credentials, demonstrate proven leadership and exhibit a strong commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration and student success.
Dean's key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Formulating and implementing academic, administrative and student policies.
Leading strategic planning, policy development, accreditation, ranking and quality initiatives.
Supervising and supporting departments to ensure excellence in teaching, research, consulting and industrial collaboration.
Overseeing faculty recruitment, appointments, evaluation, retention, professional development and welfare.
Managing academic governance, budgeting, resource management and institutional growth.
Ensuring student welfare, discipline, counselling, anti-ragging, hostels, placements, scholarships, sports, cultural and co-curricular activities.
Coordinating with the Director, Legal, Accounts, Registrar and other administrative offices for smooth functioning
Strengthening industry partnerships, internships, training, placements, MoUs and outreach initiatives.
Building strong alumni relations and engage alumni in mentoring, internships, academic activities, research, industry exposure, fundraising and institutional development.
Promoting research and development initiatives, sponsored projects, technology transfer, IPR and external collaborations.
Advising College leadership on academic, administrative, faculty, student, committees and long-term policy matters.
