Category Strategy & Management Develop and implement category strategies aligned with company objectives and market demands.
Manage the complete lifecycle of in-house furniture products, from concept development to launch and phase-out.
Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Build and maintain a balanced product assortment across residential, office, hospitality, and custom furniture segments.
Recommend new product introductions and category expansion opportunities.
Product Development Collaborate with design, merchandising, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative furniture collections.
Define product specifications, materials, finishes, dimensions, and quality standards.
Ensure products meet customer expectations, functionality requirements, and brand positioning.
Coordinate product testing, quality evaluations, and approval processes.
Sourcing & Supplier Management Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, lead times, and compliance.
Explore cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and design integrity.
Pricing & Profitability Develop pricing strategies to maximize sales and margins.
Analyze product profitability, sales performance, and inventory turnover.
Monitor category KPIs and implement corrective actions when required.
Prepare forecasts and demand planning reports.
Sales & Marketing Support Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and product launches.
Provide product training and category knowledge to sales teams.
Support showroom merchandising and product presentation strategies.
Develop product information, catalog content, and technical specifications.
Reporting & Analysis Prepare regular category performance reports, including sales, margins, inventory, and market trends.
Track competitor pricing, product offerings, and industry developments.
Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and business growth.
Experience 5+ years of experience in furniture category management, merchandising, product management, sourcing, or retail operations.
Experience in furniture manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, or interior solutions industries is preferred.
Required Skills Strong understanding of furniture products, materials, construction methods, and market trends.
Excellent commercial and analytical skills.
Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications Experience managing private-label or in-house furniture brands.
Knowledge of furniture production processes and quality control standards.
Experience with retail, e-commerce, or omnichannel furniture businesses.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Category sales growth and revenue achievement.
Gross margin and profitability targets.
Product launch success rate.
Supplier performance and on-time delivery.
Customer satisfaction and product quality metrics.
Market share growth within the furniture category.
