This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who have experience working in schools and are passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential, both academically and socially.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and the SEN department to provide tailored support that helps pupils overcome barriers to learning. You may support students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or within the wider classroom environment.

• Supporting students in lessons to help them access learning and remain engaged.
• Working with pupils who may have additional learning needs, including SEN, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other barriers to learning.
• Providing one-to-one and small group interventions when required.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Encouraging student participation, independence, and confidence.
• Supporting positive behaviour and promoting a safe learning environment.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate.
• Supporting pupils during break times, transitions between lessons, and other school activities when required.
• Following safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all students.

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

• Have previous experience working within a school environment.
• Have experience supporting children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
• Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping students succeed.
• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Be comfortable supporting students with a range of learning and behavioural needs.
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service,
  or be willing to obtain one through Monarch Education
  .
• Be able to provide professional references covering the last two years of employment, education, or training history
  .
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
