Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Our client is seeking a reliable PDI Engineer/Class 2 Driver to join their team within a busy plant and machinery environment. This hands‑on role is key to ensuring all equipment is inspected, prepared, and delivered to the highest standard. The position would suit a practical, mechanically minded individual, ideally with a disciplined background such as ex‑military.

• Carrying out pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) on plant machinery and equipment
• Inspecting, testing, and preparing machines to ensure they are fully operational and safe
• Completing basic servicing, adjustments, and minor repairs where required
• Identifying and reporting faults prior to delivery
• Cleaning and presenting machinery to a high standard before dispatch
• Delivering and collecting machinery from customer sites as a PDI Engineer/Class 2 Driver
• Loading and unloading plant equipment safely and securely
• Providing holiday cover and workshop/yard support when required

• Full‑time, stable weekday hours
• £28,000 - £30,000 salary (dependent on experience)

• Valid Class 2 (Category
  
  C) licence – essential
• Mechanical knowledge or previous experience as a PDI Engineer, plant fitter, or similar
• Experience working with plant, agricultural, or construction machinery preferred
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Physically fit and comfortable working both in the workshop and outdoors
• Ex‑Army background desirable
