Overview

Join our dynamic team at Heritage Joinery as a Workshop Assistant and play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing and assembly operations. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with tools, equipment, and materials in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with the preparation, assembly, and organization of workshop projects, ensuring smooth workflow and the high-quality results.

Duties
  • Assist with the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools according to project specifications
  • Prepare workstations by organizing materials, tools, and equipment for efficient workflow
  • Support the team in handling inventory, including receiving, storing, and tracking parts in the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool storage
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met
  • Conduct basic inspections of assembled components to identify defects or issues early in the process
  • Help load and unload materials or finished products as needed to facilitate smooth operations
Requirements
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools.
  • Experience using power tools safely and effectively in a workshop or warehouse setting
  • Strong assembly skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate construction of components
  • Previous Joinery experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, bending, and moving materials throughout shifts
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
