Asset Manager - in Office

LHH is seeking a Fixed Asset Accounting Manager for an established organization seeking a hands-on accounting leader to oversee fixed asset operations, lead and develop a high-performing team, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, proven people management experience, and the ability to balance day-to-day execution with process improvement. • Oversee fixed asset accounting activities, including capitalizations, depreciation, asset retirements, construction in progress (CIP), and account reconciliations.
• Manage and execute complex accounting transactions, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activities in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead month-end close activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Review accounting work, resolve discrepancies, strengthen internal controls, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members through ongoing feedback, performance management, and professional development.
• Maintain accountability for team productivity, deadlines, deliverables, and overall operational performance.

• Significant experience in fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, retirements, CIP, and reconciliations.
• Strong technical accounting foundation, including GAAP, general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to independently research, analyze, and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Proven people leadership experience, including team management, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee development.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
