If this aligns with your values and you want to join a leader in the banking industry, we are hiring for a Credit Risk Officer that will coordinate, conduct, and manage loan review engagements, providing guidance and support to other professionals as needed to complete the engagement.
Serves as the client relationship coordinator for local clients and works with prospective and existing clients to secure new or renewing contracts.
- Serves as Credit Risk Officer for local and regional loan review clients.
- Supports development of loan review staff through engagement leadership, coaching, and feedback on company and industry best practices.
- Specific client engagements will include, but are not limited to, coordination of off‑site file access for review team, transaction testing, interviewing, observation, conducting exit interviews, writing timely and accurate final reports, and responding to client questions regarding our services and other regulatory concerns.
- Provides daily on‑site or off‑site client service to include loan review, risk analysis, and related activities for our area financial institution clients.
- Leads client exit discussions and oversees preparation of detailed, concise reports.
- Ensures client engagements meet budgeted timing requirements.
- Presents conclusions and findings in detailed, concise reports and provides well‑defined solutions or recommendations for noted risk rating changes and credit management deficiencies. Reports should provide adequate information regarding exceptions to bank policies or consistent deviation from industry standards.
- Supports renewal of local client engagements by fostering positive relationships with clients through direct calls, advertising, etc. and prepares proposals and contracts for recurring clients.
- Stays abreast of the current credit environment and specific industry concerns and requirements through continued education, research and interaction with peers.
- Complies with all banking laws and regulations and maintains the confidentiality of bank and customer information.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
- Expert knowledge of commercial credit concepts and requirements for security attachment, perfection, and valuation
- Expert knowledge of commercial loan underwriting and risk rating systems
- Fundamental knowledge of loan loss accounting requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of real property appraisal requirements
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft office products, including Word tables, and Excel pivot tables
- Individual should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work within and foster a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across all levels
- Exceptional individual productivity achievement expected
- Overnight travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred
- 8-10 years credit management, loan review, or examination experience
