Payment Specialist II

Payment Specialist II at Fay Servicing is responsible for processing and reconciling payments, including principal, interest, escrow, and fees. Reporting to the AVP, Payments, the role manages complex borrower inquiries, provides exceptional customer service, and resolves payment issues promptly.

The position collaborates closely with team members and leadership to refine and optimize payment procedures, ensuring all payments are accurately recorded, discrepancies resolved, and documentation maintained in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.

• High school diploma or GED required;
  Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in the mortgage servicing industry
• 2+ years of experience in servicing, banking, and payments / cash room
• 1+ year of experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Solid interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated analytical skills and problem‑solving abilities
• Good judgment with the ability to evaluate and make decisions
• Strong time‑management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment

• Pay range: $20.65–$22.55 per hour
• Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
