Overview
Software Engineer Lead (Java/Kafka/Spring Boot/Microservices/Mongo
DB/Open Shift/APIGEE) ed in Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location and requires time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely at the manager’s discretion.
- Provide daily technical leadership in an agile Java environment, participating in agile ceremonies and helping to define and adhere to technical standards across the team.
- Lead the team (with Scrum Master and Product Owner) in estimating, planning, designing solutions, and developing the application with the scrum team. Exercise hands-on technical leadership and design activities related to new applications or rewrites/enhancements.
- Guide architecture decisions, design patterns, and code quality standards; resolve complex technical challenges; perform code reviews.
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans; participate in all Sprint ceremonies.
- Focus on delivery efficiency and technical debt reduction; provide mentoring to team members; collaborate with stakeholders (PO/BSA/QA and Business) and participate in roadmap discussions.
- Drive automation where appropriate and maintain documentation. Ensure security, compliance, and performance are addressed in every release.

- Hands-on Java development and leadership in the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.

- Bachelors degree; 3+ years of relevant experience. Certifications are often desired; in lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
