Location Status: Work will be primarily performed at a designated field worksite location based out of a central Race Communications worksite. Frequent travel to and work from other Race offices or other off-site locations will be required.

The Underground (UG) Laborer plays a vital role in the construction, maintenance, and operation of underground telecommunications infrastructure as directed by the Foreman and/or Supervisor. Your responsibilities include hands‑on work in excavation, cable installation, equipment operation, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. You collaborate closely with your team to support the efficient and secure installation of cabling, wiring, and related materials.

Safety consciousness, adherence to industry regulations, and effective communication are essential in this role. Your contributions are integral to expanding and maintaining the telecommunications network, enabling the seamless flow of information and connectivity.

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent education in a related field of study preferred
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• A valid driver's license, subject to successful verification through a DMV check, is mandatory
• Ability to travel to multiple work sites, work overtime, weekends, holidays, or off hours as needed
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet project deadlines or address critical issues
• 5+ years of overall sales experience, including 1‑2 years in a sales training, enablement, or coaching role
• Proven success in both inside sales (phone-based) and outside sales (door-to-door or field)
• Demonstrated ability to sell and train effectively in a fast‑paced, high-growth environment
• Strong skills in public speaking, presentation delivery, and facilitation
• Ability to develop clear, engaging training materials and instructional content
• Proficient with tools such as Salesforce, sales enablement platforms, and data dashboards (e.g., Sales Rabbit)
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to coach and influence across all levels
• Willing and able to travel up to 50% across California markets
• Experience in the telecommunications industry or other rapid-growth sectors strongly preferred
• The ability to effectively communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension, as necessary for effective job performance and workplace communication
• Proficiency in Spanish Language desirable

• Proficient use of MS Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; teleconferencing applications
• Functional use of common office equipment, computers, and office software
• Ability to distinguish colors and audible tones
