Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School is seeking a Substitute Teacher to support the mission of the school and consistently exercise discretion and judgment in providing support when teachers or aides are absent from school.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing coverage for absent teachers
- Working to ensure students are able to meet learning goals
- Delivering lesson plans as appropriate
- Supervising students throughout the school day
- Monitoring and maintaining regular class attendance
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal
Qualifications
- Minimum of 90 college credits, valid Michigan teaching certificate preferred
- Experience working with children in a school setting, preferred
- Ability to maintain a well-managed, positive learning environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills
- Criminal history background check and Protecting God’s Children training required
