Green Path Financial Wellness is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people to lead financially healthy lives. We provide counseling, education, and innovative solutions to help individuals and families achieve their financial goals. Our mission-driven culture values collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Green Path Financial Wellness is looking for an Enterprise Risk Lead to help strengthen how we identify, understand, and respond to risk and opportunity across the organization.

This role will help advance enterprise risk management as an organizational capability, giving leaders the insights, tools, and frameworks they need to make informed decisions with confidence. You’ll partner across the organization to connect strategic, operational, and emerging risks, strengthen resilience, and help Green Path balance risk, opportunity, innovation, and mission impact.

If you enjoy working across functions, facilitating thoughtful conversations, analyzing complex information, and turning risk insights into practical recommendations, this could be a great opportunity.

What You’ll Do

Lead and strengthen enterprise risk management

  • Maintain and continuously improve Green Path’s enterprise risk management framework, governance practices, assessment methodologies, reporting standards, and escalation processes.
  • Help establish consistent risk definitions, assessment criteria, tolerances, scoring methods, and reporting practices.
  • Coordinate enterprise risk governance activities, including the Internal Risk Management Committee.
  • Prepare clear and meaningful risk reporting for executive leadership and Board committees.
  • Provide visibility into significant risks, emerging threats, interconnected exposures, and areas of concentrated risk.

Provide risk advisory and decision support

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to leaders, project sponsors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Help teams evaluate uncertainty, opportunities, assumptions, dependencies, tradeoffs, and potential impacts.
  • Facilitate risk-informed discussions during strategic planning, major projects, operational decisions, and organizational change.
  • Translate complex risk information into clear options, recommendations, and actionable next steps.

Build risk capability and culture

  • Develop practical training, coaching, tools, resources, and awareness initiatives that strengthen risk management capabilities.
  • Promote consistent enterprise risk practices across Green Path and its affiliates.
  • Encourage a culture where teams proactively identify and discuss risk while remaining focused on opportunity and innovation.
  • Help leaders integrate risk considerations into planning, operations, projects, and decision-making.

Develop risk intelligence and reporting

  • Develop and maintain key risk indicators, monitoring processes, escalation triggers, and supporting data sources.
  • Monitor risk exposure, trends, emerging issues, external developments, and cross-functional impacts.
  • Create dashboards and reports that clearly communicate risk status, trends, response progress, residual risk, and areas requiring leadership attention.
  • Track key risk response and mitigation commitments with designated business and project owners.
  • Continuously improve the quality, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of enterprise risk information.
