START DATE & WORK SCHEDULE
ASAP. Monday through Sunday; hours vary depending on seasonal demand and weather up to 20-40 hours per week. Weekend and evening work. Various maintenance tasks on Parks facilities including mowing, weed whipping, athletic field preparation, maintenance of landscape beds, special event setup and operation, painting, trash pickup, and cleaning of buildings and sites. May extend work through winter months for snow removal.
Work involves working outside in all weather conditions. Evening and weekend may be required.
Prior athletic field preparation, parks, landscaping, mowing, snow removal, or janitorial experience is desired, but not required.
SPECIAL SKILLS & TRAININGMust have a valid Michigan Driver’s license with a good driving record. Ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships with the public and other employees. Must be able to understand and follow oral instructions. A pesticide license and CDL are desired, but not required.
EDUCATIONMust be at least 18 years old. High School graduate or equivalent, preferred.
