Description

The Health & Wellness Merchandiser supports Plum Market stores by executing the merchandising strategy for the Health & Wellness Department as directed by the Vice President of Grocery, Apothecary and Bakery Departments. This role ensures consistent standards across locations by maintaining product presentation, pricing integrity, inventory health, and promotional execution. The merchandiser models exceptional customer service, coaches and trains team members, and partners with store leadership to drive sales, margin, and a best‑in‑class shopping experience.

What You Will Bring

• 2+ years of successful experience as a team leader, buyer, or equivalent retail leadership role (preferred).

• Working knowledge of merchandising best practices, including planograms, shelf sets/resets, and promotional execution.

• Ability to analyze department performance (sales, margin, shrink, inventory turns) and take action to improve results.

• Strong organization, time‑management, and follow‑through skills; able to manage multiple locations and priorities.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills; comfortable partnering with store leadership and support office teams.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, Word) and comfort learning store technology.

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Willingness and ability to travel between Plum Market locations based on business needs.

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and operate carts up to 100 lbs.

What You Will Do

• Execute Health & Wellness merchandising standards across assigned stores—including shelf sets, resets, seasonal changes, and display execution.

• Maintain pricing integrity by ensuring accurate tags/signage and resolving discrepancies.

• Support inventory health by coaching on ordering practices, managing backstock, reducing shrink, and maximizing turns.

• Partner with the Department Support Group to plan category reviews, new item introductions, and promotional rollouts.

• Conduct store walks and audits; document opportunities, provide clear action plans, and follow up.

• Train and coach team members on customer service, product presentation, and merchandising standards.

• Collaborate with store leadership to prioritize workload, support staffing/training needs, and elevate department performance.

• Support new store openings and special projects, including pre‑opening shelf sets, merchandising execution, and team onboarding.

• Uphold all Plum Market policies, safety practices, and standard operating procedures.
