OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Engineer to work independently, hands‑on developing an advanced automotive System on Chip (SoC) software platform that leverages hypervisor technology and supports guest operating systems such as Blackberry QNX, Adaptive AUTOSAR, and various Linux distributions.
Responsibilities- Technology Development:
Ensure the platform supports standard SoC interfaces including serial boot, PCIe, DDR, Flash ROM, MMU, Ethernet, and USB. Integrate and support standard automotive sensors, focusing on AD/ADAS (cameras, radar, lidar, sonar, inertia sensing). Manage image‑processing capabilities, implement system partitioning, hypervisors, and container engine technology for flexibility and security. - Team Leadership:
Lead a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support; conduct regular meetings, performance reviews, and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets. - Cross‑functional
Collaboration:
Work with hardware engineers, product engineers, and other stakeholders to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. - Risk Management:
Assess risks, identify roadblocks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of SDV Enablers, Zonal Network, high‑performance central compute modules, automated driving, AI, machine learning, perception modules, connected mobility, MLOps, OTA updates.
- Technical experience with:
- SoC architecture – Qualcomm SA8650, Renesas RCAR, Nvidia Orin, TI, Mobil Eye.
- SoC hardware – Ethernet, USB, UFS, Display Port, PCIe, QUP, UART, SPI, I2C, inter‑core communication, camera, CPU Kryo, ARM Cortex‑R52, Hexagon Tensor Processor, server accelerators, DDR, Flash ROM, MMU.
- Software – POSIX OS, QNX, board support packages, middleware, hypervisor, container engines, AD/ADAS tech stacks.
- ADAS features – Image processing and transfer, video in/out handling within SoC platform software development.
- Strong understanding of Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR architectures and experience with continuous integration and delivery.
- Expertise in embedded C/C++ programming, systems architecture, and debugging of applications or device drivers on embedded Linux/QNX.
- Experience in BSP porting, device driver internals, and writing interfaces to PAL/HAL and middleware layers.
- Hands‑on experience with U‑Boot, secure boot, custom bootloaders, software download, over‑the‑air update solutions.
- Driver development and debugging of interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, eMMC, PCIe, SDIO, CAN‑FD, Ethernet.
- Knowledge of V‑Model, ASPICE, MISRA, ISO
26262, cybersecurity, and Agile frameworks. - Familiar with cryptographic algorithms and authentication methods.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical block diagrams, and IC datasheets.
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
Experience5+ years of experience with a minimum of 4 years in SoC platform development (BSP, POSIX, Adaptive Platform, SoC drivers) and 3+ years in automotive, AD/ADAS, or other embedded system low‑level domains.
