Director, IR Advisory
Join Corbin Advisors as a Director in the IR Advisory practice. Corbin Advisors is a specialized investor relations research and advisory firm that leverages proprietary research, analytics and a best‑practice mindset to help public, private and non‑profit organizations maximize stakeholder value and organizational impact.
Base Pay Range$/yr – $/yr
Core Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of Corbin’s proprietary research, best‑practice methodology and the Corbin Way to advise clients in a data‑driven, strategic, value‑maximizing manner.
- Serve as a collaborative team member, lead client engagements from inception to conclusion, and build relationships with clients on behalf of the firm.
- Integrate sustainability and ESG research into broader advisory engagements to drive connectivity.
- Challenge and guide clients to think differently based on our proven methodology, research, and experience.
- Drive operational excellence and offer solutions for working smarter, not harder, continuously improving internal processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance Corbin’s capabilities through market research and thought leadership.
- Support business development efforts by conducting due diligence, developing pitch decks, presenting content, and participating in Q&A.
- Amplify brand awareness by representing Corbin at key industry conferences, public speaking events, and social media engagement.
- Stay current on emerging trends and best practices, collaborating with the Research Center of Excellence on thought leadership publications.
- Engage in driving our strategic direction based on the founder’s vision to become a trusted, industry‑leading research and advisory firm.
- Support the achievement of annual and multi‑year strategic, operational, and financial goals, and drive growth and profitability.
- Become a subject‑matter expert and trusted peer and client advisor.
- Deliver client excellence and foster a positive cultural force within the organization.
- Post‑graduate degree in a relevant field, or equivalent qualifications, or proof of equivalent experience.
- Deep experience and understanding of equity markets, valuation frameworks, financial models, capital markets, and client advisory.
- 8–12+ years in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, or capital markets advisory.
- Passion for advising or interacting with investors and sell‑side analysts.
- Ability to simplify complex constructs and organize large data sets, managing resources and delivering on time and quality expectations.
- Unparalleled attention to detail and strong project management capabilities.
- Exceptional business writing and presentation development skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, including project, resource, and performance management.
- Public speaking experience or strong natural foundation for developing on‑stage communication.
- Knowledge of capital/equity markets and financial communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to coordinate and manage projects and priorities across teams.
