RN Substance Abuse​/Detox

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide service at a substance abuse clinic in the Farmington, CT area.

• Provide triage services (evaluate medical and psychiatric status based on admission criteria)
• Determine level of withdrawal management needed
• Administer and monitor individuals' medical needs in accordance with orders by prescribing physicians
• Order, transcribe, and reconcile medications per MD order as needed
• Communicate with pharmacy as needed
• Maintain ongoing relationships with other health care providers to provide consistency of prescribed treatment procedures and techniques
• Maintain medical records and oversee thorough documentation

• CT RN certification
• Experience working with adults who have challenges with substance abuse
• Ability to complete and pass clearances: FBI, Child Abuse (ACT 126), and Criminal
• Must be able to produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid

• Establish a relationship with one of the largest referral agencies for behavioral-health.
