The Raytheon Technologies Corporate Core Network Services organization is currently recruiting for a Network Security Engineer. The successful candidate for this position will be expected to engage with internal RTX business units to evaluate network security issues, propose design options, and work with network engineers and implement new firewall deployments from a network and security policy perspective.
The candidate is expected to be proficient on Illumio firewall administration with at least three years of firewall management experience and a strong networking background.  Expertise in DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management systems is also important.

* What You Will Do:

*** Design and implement micro-segmentation solutions through Illumio segmentation policies
* Develop and manage security policy to minimize lateral movement of threats across internal network
* Analyze and map application dependencies and traffic flow to ensure optimal segmentation
* Troubleshoot Illumio agent
* Diagnose and resolve network performance issues
* Ensure deployments meet regulatory compliance requirements
* Experience with automation and scripting (Python, REST APIs) for policy deployment, validation, and compliance reporting
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
* Experience implementing and managing the Illumio Core product in an enterprise environment
* Network protocols and firewall technologies
* Micro-segmentation strategies and enforcement using policy-based security model
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
* US Citizen or US Person Required
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Illumio Certified Engineer (ICE)
* Comptia Network+ and Security+
** Work Location
** This is a Hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance from Farmington, CT
