OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Labour and Delivery Nurse to join our maternity team. This vital role involves providing specialised care to women during labour, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well‑being of both mother and baby throughout the childbirth process. This position offers an opportunity to work within a supportive healthcare environment committed to excellence in maternal care.
Responsibilities- Monitor and assess labouring patients’ vital signs and progress regularly.
- Administer prescribed medications and interventions to support labour and manage pain effectively.
- Assist with various stages of labour, including delivery, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to women and their families during childbirth.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients on labour processes, postpartum care, and newborn care practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, interventions, and outcomes.
- Respond promptly to any complications or emergencies during labour and delivery.
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed at all times.
- Registered Nurse qualification with current registration with the Nursing
- recent High‑Risk Labor & Delivery experience
- Prior OB experience required
- Prior travel RN experience required (L&D)
- Certifications:
- AHA BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
. - Proven experience in maternity or labour ward nursing is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to obstetrics and neonatal care.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards mothers and their families.
Job Types: Full-time, Travel nursing, Contract
Pay: $2,800.00 - $2,850.00 per week
