Position Title(s): Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team. Foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance.
  • Customer

    Experience:

    Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
  • Sales & Performance:
    Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Financial Management:
    Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement:
    Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers.
  • Innovation & Problem-Solving:
    Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
  • Leadership

    Skills:

    Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Flexibility:
    Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Tech-Savvy:
    Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Minimum Requirements
  • Assistant Store Manager
    :
    Open availability, including availability during the hours necessary to open and close the store, which includes mornings, days, and nights.
  • Supervisor
    :
    Availability during the hours necessary to open and close the store, which includes mornings, days, and nights; minimum of 5 days of availability; minimum standard of 30 hours per week.
  • All Management
    :
    Availability on weekends and holidays; punctuality and regular attendance consistent with the company’s policies; must have reliable transportation; must speak English clearly to converse with customers and effectively supervise staff; must be able to read and write English and perform business-related mathematics; may require the ability to move to different locations within the company’s network based on operational needs and career growth.
Physical

Demands
  • Requires prolonged standing approximately five to fourteen hours per day.
  • During peak sale periods (e.g., Holiday, Back-to-School), long hours may be required.
  • Requires stooping and kneeling to place merchandise on customer’s feet as well as reaching and pulling to obtain or stock merchandise on storage racks.
  • May be required to climb ladders or ascend/descend stairs in order to stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale.
  • Required to lift items weighing 5-25 lbs regularly; weights may be higher in certain circumstances.
  • Must have good vision, including color differentiation.
  • The work environment is a moderately noisy retail setting.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
