Job GoalWe seek a classroom instructor to prepare students to take the written permit test to become Class B Commercial Drivers. This is a per diem, part‑time position with flexibility based on the qualified teacher’s schedule.
Qualifications- Driver education instructor license
- 22 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Maine DOE Certification (Background Check) or ability to obtain CHRC
- Valid CDL license
- Comply with all state‑mandated requirements; additional details available upon request.
- Will consider training candidates who meet all other requirements but do not yet have a driver education instructor license.
- Driving instruction will be performed in tandem with CMCC on their Auburn campus.
- We are open to speaking with qualified applicants who meet the core criteria.
- 6 years of driving experience as a licensed CDL Class A or B operator
- Per diem based on the qualified individual’s schedule.
Reports To: Director of Franklin County Adult Education
Terms of Employment: As determined annually by the District.
Evaluation: Completed annually by the Director or designee.
FLSA Status: Non‑exempt.
