Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart local retail store. The role supports repair and oversight of refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial skills and hand/digital/power tools.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial skills.
• Utilize work order management system to receive repair work orders and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with clean record and ability to pass MVR.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where job is located.

Hourly wage range $28.00 – $54.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
