This board‑eligible or board‑certified family medicine physician will collaborate with advanced practice providers to establish a thriving practice in a growing rural community.

The Role

Become a foundational physician in a charming, small town just an hour outside of St. Louis. This role focuses solely on outpatient care with a 36‑hour patient‑facing work week, Monday through Friday. You will practice at a three‑bed critical‑access hospital in Bonne Terre, serving residents of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri, while the Parkland‑Farmington campus provides a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services.

Preferred Qualifications

Role

Purpose:

The physician will provide professional medical services within the practicing specialty, conduct direct patient care, maintain medical records, provide MyChart consultations, conduct patient‑specific education, and collaborate with advanced practice providers and care team members.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the medical care of the patient panel by providing or arranging for inpatient hospital care, regular hospital rounds, or coverage by hospitalists.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and care team members to ensure excellent care outcomes at clinic locations and any assigned outreach locations.
  • Perform and document medical histories and physicals as required by hospital medical staff bylaws.
  • Provide or arrange for call coverage for clinic and inpatient patients in accordance with BJC policies and Medical Staff bylaws.
  • Collaborate and teach advanced practice providers, support staff, or any care team members assigned to the physician’s patient panel.
  • Maintain constant state of alertness and work in a safe manner as required for this safety‑sensitive position.
Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Doctorate in Medicine.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Board‑eligible or board‑certified in family medicine.
  • Licensed physician.

Experience

  • Preferred: 2–5 years of clinical experience.
