Security Officer

Security Officer – Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center, State of Missouri – Farmington, MO

We are seeking a reliable, goal-oriented team member to join our Security Department. This first‑level security position protects public property and equipment from theft, fire, vandalism, and other hazards, and ensures order and appropriate behavior within the facility. The successful candidate will implement lockdown procedures in residential units, provide escorting/transportation as needed, and work under direct supervision following detailed procedures.

• Protect facility property and equipment from loss or damage.
• Maintain order and enforce proper behavior of individuals and groups.
• Implement lockdown procedures within residential units.
• Escort and transport individuals as required.
• Conduct rounds to monitor assigned buildings and grounds.
• Operate a motor vehicle; maintain a valid driver's license.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant security experience.
• Knowledge of building operations, security requirements, and entry‑control procedures.
• Ability to follow a prescribed routine for inspections.
• Physical stamina for long walks indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
