. This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple facilities and will support low‑voltage systems such as security, fire alarm, CCTV, audio/video, and network cabling.
$26.00/hr - $51.00/hr
Responsibilities- Set up, configure, and maintain low‑voltage systems according to project requirements and industry standards.
- Terminate, label, and test cables, ensuring proper installation and reliability.
- Perform regular maintenance checks, identify and resolve issues promptly, and restore systems to optimal condition.
- Provide technical support and end‑user training on low‑voltage systems.
- Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, maintenance, and repairs; generate performance reports and evaluate system upgrades.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- Model integrity and compliance with Walmart values and ethical standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
- Preferred: BICSI installer certification, CompTIA networking certifications (e.g., Network+), manufacturer‑specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch), NICET fire alarm certification, OSHA 10/30 hour training, and technical training in low‑voltage systems.
