GI group from St. Louis Call - J1 Eligible

BJC Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join Parkland Health Center located in Farmington, MO, just over an hour from St. Louis, Missouri.

This position is J1 eligible and BJC has sponsored J1s for this location with 100% success rate.

Practice Highlights:

• Join a large multi-specialty clinic with strong referral base
• Full scope gastroenterology practice with ability to do ERCP if desired
• Shared call schedule of 1:5 with minimal ER call per month
• Clinic located on the hospital campus with blocked time in the GI lab

Role Purpose

Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
• Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
• Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.
