Supervisor: Teacher/Principal

To provide piano accompaniment to the school choral program and collaborate with local music programs.

• Proficiently demonstrate a vast understanding of the instrument.
• Play the piano at a high level of proficiency.
• Follow and play music scores successfully.
• Play parts ranging from one line to 4-part open vocal scores.
• Sight read at a high level.
• Run sectional rehearsals when necessary.
• Commit to performances outside of school hours.

• Support teachers and principals under supervision.
• Assist in preparing for programs and classroom activities.
• Work with small groups to reinforce lessons.
• Help implement program goals.
• Familiar with lesson plans and textbooks.
• Understand students' home languages.
• Follow district and school procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or GED. Ability to select appropriate music as directed.

Ability to sit, stand, reach, squat, kneel, and perform prolonged piano playing. Ability to move light furniture if needed.

Knowledge of keyboard and amplification equipment.

Able to work in various noise levels, temperatures, and air qualities. Flexibility, patience, and self-motivation are essential. After-hours work may be required.

Hourly, full-time, entry-level position.
