The partnership’s assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.
- Participate in installing all instrumentation and electrical components safely.
- Troubleshoot problems with control systems and complex equipment associated with gas reciprocating compressors, centrifugal pumps, solar gas turbines, generators, and controls.
- Run conduit, pull wire, change motors, maintain lighting systems and basic motor controls.
- Maintain, modify and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology and minimize operating costs.
- Maintain advanced monitoring devices (gas, flame, or fire detectors, vibration, and temperature monitors).
- Read P&’s, electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot field instrumentation including pressure, temperature and flow transmitters, control valves.
- Update and red‑line electrical drawings.
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, substation and branch feeders (up to 4160 V) variable frequency drives, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), air/fuel controllers, and relay panel controls.
- Perform preventive and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment.
- Provide training and technical support.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduation from a technical trade school and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certification or associate degree program in instrumentation or related studies is preferred.
- Journeyman electrical designation highly preferred.
- Ability to read safety procedures, work procedures, blueprints, P&IDs, work permits and technical instruction manuals.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and familiarity with AC voltage (120‑480 V three‑phase and single‑phase plus 24 VDC).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- 5+ years of electrical and instrumentation experience, preferably in an energy‑related industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
- Basic mathematical skills (percentages, ratios, proportions).
- Basic computer skills (MS Word and Excel).
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under stressful or hazardous conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Ability to modify communication style to influence, persuade, negotiate and engage stakeholders.
- Initiative and proactive attitude toward issue resolution.

- Respond to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and visually inspect work.
- Work safely in confined spaces (e.g., tanks, between compressors, vessels).
- Regularly bend, stoop, climb, lift and apply torque; lift up to 50 lb. manually and transport loads up to 75 lb. (manual handling). Apply up to 100 ft‑lb. of torque.
- Access and exit vehicles regularly; ride over rough roads.
- Participate in Respiratory Protection Program and wear respirator as required.
- Wear special safety equipment and be able to put on emergency breathing apparatus and protective gear.
- Accept call‑outs and overtime as required.
- Live or relocate within 1 hour of reporting location.
- Travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
