Mechanical Engineer, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer

This opening is for a seasoned HVAC Engineer who will join our Building Mechanical team in the Advanced Manufacturing Group, applying innovative design solutions to heavy industrial clients across a range of markets.
Base pay range$/yr – $/yr
Responsibilities- Layout and design of HVAC systems.
- Develop design criteria for general comfort heating and cooling, accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization, and cleanliness requirements for clean‑room applications.
- Prepare conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing and selection calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
- Produce final design documents such as specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and construction drawings for systems including chilled water, cooling water, and more.
- Coordinate with other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Professional Engineering License.
- At least ten (10) years of experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of codes and standards for HVAC design.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced team with multiple deadlines.
- Leadership skills to manage a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely with cross‑disciplinary members.
- Experience with Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
- Background in plumbing/utility system design.
