Job Summary:

As a Dietary Aide at Cedar Ridge, you play a vital role in providing our residents with nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to their health needs and preferences. You’ll support the kitchen team in food preparation, service, sanitation, and inventory, all while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience that promotes our residents’ overall well‑being.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Service:

• Prepare and serve meals according to specified dietary requirements and portion sizes

• Follow recipes and maintain a clean, sanitary cooking environment

• Assemble meal trays accurately and accommodate resident substitutions as needed

• Serve snacks and beverages between meals as directed

• Assist with special diets, food allergies, and therapeutic meal plans

Sanitation & Maintenance:

• Sanitize kitchen equipment, dining areas, and utensils regularly

• Clean serving areas, mop floors, and dispose of trash according to safety standards

• Maintain a safe, organized kitchen and food storage environment

Other Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with dietary and nursing staff to address residents’ dietary concerns

• Review menus and ensure trays match diet orders

• Help train new nutrition services staff and students

• Monitor and restock supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels

• Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of safe food handling and sanitation practices

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary support preferred but not required—
