American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Nephrology/Med-Surg unit requiring NM or compact RN licensure and prior Med/Surg experience.

• Nephrology unit functioning as an extension of Med/Surg within a level III trauma center
• 24-bed unit caring for geriatric and adult patients with ESRD, peritoneal dialysis, and hemodialysis needs
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Uses vital sign machines, bladder scanners, lifts, thermal imaging, and IV pumps/tubing
• Cerner EHR system used for charting
• Floating required as needed per facility needs
• Weekend work required at least 2 shifts per month per facility policy
• No on-call requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
• Med/Surg experience required
• ADN required
• Charge Nurse and Nephrology experience preferred but not required
• Observation Unit experience considered a plus

• Provide nursing care within a Nephrology/Med-Surg unit supporting patients with renal conditions including ESRD and dialysis treatments
• Facility is a 198-bed, level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
