Emergency Medicine, RN Nurse
A 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department on a mid-shift schedule. The facility serves the Four Corners region spanning New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, and operates a 48-bed Emergency Department with flex space.
The role. Emergency Department RNs at this regional medical center care for a diverse patient population that includes presentations of ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric conditions, as well as high-acuity cases involving trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation. The department operates on a team nursing and pod system with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track.
A social worker is assigned to the department, and a unit educator is on site to support staff. Bedside resources include Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, Qin Flow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum
360, Freestyle and iStat POC devices, and ultrasound-guided IV capability. Documentation is performed in Cerner.
- RN - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- At least 2 years of acute care experience required
- BLS required upon submission. All other required certifications can be obtained after hire; please refer to Life Support Certification document in attachments.
- Open to candidates who do not hold New Mexico or Compact licensure. Candidates must obtain prior to start.
- Must have skills/experience:
Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation - 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
Mid shift, 10am-10pm and 12pm-12am (candidates will work a combination of both shifts).
Compensation.$29.05 - $46.48/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
