Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (must be from American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Must be proficient in Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Vascular, and OBGYN surgical skills
• Must score at least 3.2 overall on skills checklist
• Comfortable supporting patients and surgeons during significant traumatic injury cases
• Highly skilled in procedures ranging from basic lap cases to complex open abdominal and chest cavity trauma cases
• Must anticipate instrument, supply, and equipment needs during surgical procedures
• RN degree required

• Level III trauma center with 10 operating rooms
• Diverse surgical specialties including Urology, Neuro, General, GYN, Podiatry, Plastic, Ortho, Dental, and ENT
• Patient ratio of 1:1 in the OR
• Diverse patient population of all ages
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Equipment varies by OR service specialty
• Schedule is Sat-Mon 7A-7P with variable call (4-5 shifts per month)
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• Occasional weekend work required
• Call requirements apply
• Support surgical teams across a wide range of specialties and trauma cases
• Facility is a Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
• Must be competent and confident working independently in high-acuity trauma situations
