Job Overview

TURN Community Services in Farmington, UT is hiring a full‑time Day Program Direct Support Professional – Caregiver to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Davis County area. This caregiving position earns a competitive wage of $16.50 per hour and offers benefits including a health plan through health reimbursement accounts (HRA) with an optional health savings account (HSA), dental, vision, accrued paid time off (PTO) following a waiting period, a 401(k) with employer match, an employee assistance program (EAP), life, and disability insurance, plus a $600 sign‑on bonus.

Us

TURN Community Services was founded in 1973 by parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We support more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities and offer day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities across Utah.

Responsibilities
  • Support people with developmental disabilities to live independently.
  • Assist with self‑care, hygiene, motor skills, arts and crafts, vocational skills, work habits, and community inclusion.
  • Help with behavior management and recreational activities.
  • Provide teaching and mentoring techniques to support day‑to‑day schedules.
  • Model appropriate social skills and behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and promptly report any health or safety concerns.
Qualifications
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Reliable personal vehicle preferred; must be able to drive large vehicles to transport individuals.
  • A heart for serving people with developmental disabilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, discretion with confidential information, compassion while maintaining professional boundaries, calm, flexible, patient, and teamwork abilities are essential.

Schedule

Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:00 pm.
