The Town of Farmville is accepting applications for part‑time Bus Drivers. Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, some experience driving a passenger bus or van, and a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with “P” Endorsement. Must have a track record of exercising sound judgment and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities include, and are not limited to:

• Driving a bus or paratransit van
• Providing exceptional customer service and having knowledge about the area to assist passengers
• Creating a safe and welcoming environment
• Maintaining a clean environment
• Assisting in janitorial duties of vehicles and the FAB’s building to include administrative and bay areas

The starting hourly rate is $16.00.

Applicants must possess a valid VA CDL Driver’s License with “P” endorsement and pass conditional requirements such as employment verification, background check, and drug and alcohol screening. Employees are subject to strict compliance with the Farmville Area Bus Drug and Alcohol policies.
