Graduate Applications Engineer

Job Description:

In this role you will be a crucial link between customers sales teams and engineering to ensure the creation of successful specifications proposal documents and delivery of technical equipment orders. You will need to take a technical and commercial view to the total viability of an order/enquiry by balancing commercial ambition against our engineering capability and effort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess customer applications to understand appropriate product specifications.
• Review incoming orders for correct technical and commercial alignment. Prepare accurate proposals including technical configurations and cost calculations.
• Enter order details into ERP/IT systems and prepare formal order acknowledgments.
• Resolve technical application-related or delivery concerns
• Engage with customers to secure drawing approvals for complex orders.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is created for sales support manufacturing testing and compliance.
• Maintain an organized database of machine drawings and past designs.
• Provide input for design guide updates and suggest improvements.
• Assist in product testing to validate customer requirements are met.
• Participate in technical enquiry meetings to support the sales process.

Essential
:

• Engineering or technical education
• Ability to manage high-volume customer interactions and complex sales order processes ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills applied confidently at all levels
• Proficient in using related software e.g. Microsoft Office Excel to high level.
