Location: Farnborough (3 - 4 days on site)

Salary: Up to £85,000
Security Clearance : It is an essential requirement for candidates to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC Level) prior to appointment.

As a Security Architect, you will play a key role in the secure delivery of both internal and MOD projects. You’ll support agile technical teams in building Kubernetes environments for proof of concepts, internal infrastructure, and live customer services.

• Develop cyber security architectures for complex systems
• Provide strategic direction across security projects
• Identify and manage security risks
• Produce evidence to meet MOD regulatory requirements
• Design solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities and threats
• Assess the security implications of emerging technologies in government environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software Engineering, Dev Sec Ops , Infrastructure, Agile, and Cyber Security

• Designing secure government systems deployed in cloud environments
• Conducting threat assessments using recognised methodologies (e.g. STRIDE)
• Working within Dev Sec Ops  and Kubernetes environments
• Producing high-quality technical documentation and reports
• Supporting secure-by-design development approaches
• Hands‑on security engineering in Azure and Microsoft 365
• Knowledge of MOD policies (JSP 440, 453/604, 892)
• Understanding Agile and CI/CD principles in secure environments
