Lead Security Architect – Farnborough, UK

• Up to £100,000 Depending on Experience
• Hybrid working, 3 days per week onsite
• Active SC Clearance required, and must be eligible for DV

Our client is a specialist technology organisation delivering secure digital solutions across Defence and National Security. They work on complex, mission-critical programmes where security, reliability and innovation are fundamental. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Lead Security Architect to join their team.

As Lead Security Architect, you will support the secure delivery of internal and MOD programmes, working closely with Software Engineering, Dev Sec Ops , Infrastructure, Agile and Cyber Security teams.

You will develop proportionate security architectures, provide strategic direction on security projects, conduct risk management activities and design solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities. You will also produce security and assurance documentation to support MOD requirements and secure-by-design delivery.

• Strong Security Architecture experience within Defence, Government or similarly secure environments
• Experience conducting cyber security risk management using recognised methodologies such as NIST 800-53
• Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles
• Ability to design and select security controls across networks, endpoints, cryptography, authentication and authorisation
• Experience producing security documentation, risk assessments, policies, test plans and assurance artefacts
• Knowledge of MOD security requirements, ideally including JSP 604 and JSP 453
• Experience working with technical engineering teams across cloud, infrastructure or Dev Sec Ops  environments
• Government security clearance, recently held clearance, or eligibility and willingness to undergo vetting
