As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and supporting cloud capabilities across public, private and hybrid environments.
Working closely with engineering, development, operations and security teams, you will design and automate cloud solutions that enable the delivery of next-generation services across complex operational environments.
You will have the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies while contributing to solutions where security, reliability, scalability and performance are critical.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build and configure cloud services to meet business and application requirements.
- Monitor and optimise cloud environments for performance, availability, cost and security compliance.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using technologies such as Terraform, Cloud Formation or ARM templates.
- Build and automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows, reducing manual intervention and improving delivery efficiency.
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption and network security.
- Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to enable reliable and secure application deployments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud engineering practices, standards and automation.
- Demonstrable experience designing, deploying and managing solutions within AWS.
- Strong practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling.
- A solid understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls and routing.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
