Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 per annum
Location:
Yateley (Farnborough area) - On-site/Hybrid (4 days on-site a week)
Full time Permanent OR Part time 3 days available
Role Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update production schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate resources, including materials, tools, and personnel, to optimize workflow and capacity.
- Monitor progress of production activities, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, schedules, and reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and internal procedures.
- Provide regular reporting on project status, capacity utilization, and production performance to management.
Essential
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally in precision engineering or similar industries.
- Proficiency with planning or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Desirable
Skills:
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience in a high-precision or engineering production environment.
