Planning Engineer; CNC

Role Overview

As a Planning Engineer, you will support the flow of work through the business by creating accurate manufacturing documentation and working closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams.

• Create manufacturing routings and job packs for CNC machined components.
• Produce clear and accurate process documentation for production.
• Support the Engineering team with manufacturing planning and technical queries.
• Liaise with CNC programmers and production to ensure efficient workflows.
• Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and continuous process improvements.
• Maintain manufacturing data, BOMs and routing information.
• Ensure documentation meets aerospace quality requirements.

• Previous experience as a Planning Engineer, Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer within precision engineering.
• Good knowledge of CNC machining processes, including milling and turning.
• Experience creating routings, job packs and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience with in an aerospace or AS9100 manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems is beneficial.

• Circa £35,000 per annum.
