We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading business aviation MRO for an experienced CAT A Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join their line maintenance team based at Farnborough Airport
.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established aviation organisation with more than 40 years of industry experience, supporting a diverse fleet of small to mid-size, turbine-powered business aircraft across the UK and Europe.
The RoleAs a CAT A Licensed Aircraft Engineer
, you will be responsible for carrying out line maintenance and AOG support while ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved maintenance data and regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out aircraft maintenance tasks within the scope of your CAT A licence and company authorisations
. - Providing Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and line maintenance support to customers.
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections and defect rectification within your authorised scope.
- Carrying out servicing and routine maintenance activities.
- Supporting aircraft turnarounds and ensuring aircraft are returned to service safely and efficiently.
- Completing maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Working in accordance with manufacturer instructions, company procedures and applicable CAA/EASA regulations.
- Liaising with customers, flight crews, maintenance control and other engineering/support teams.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance and customer service.
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
- Travelling as required to support AOG and mobile maintenance activities.
Experience on the following aircraft types would be advantageous, although relevant experience on other business jets will also be considered:
Cessna Citation- C510
- C525 / 525A / 525B
- C525C
- C550 / C560
- C560XL
/ XLS - C680
- EMB-135 / EMB-145
- EMB-505
- HA-420
Type allowance: £500 per annum for each CAT A approval, with payments available across up to nine company approvals.
About YouWe are looking for a professional, motivated and safety-focused CAA CAT A Licensed Aircraft
You will ideally have:
- A valid UK CAA CAT A Aircraft Maintenance Licence
. - Business aviation experience is desirable but not essential.
- Experience on Cessna Citation, Embraer, Honda Jet or Bombardier aircraft is advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence and the unrestricted ability to travel as required.
- The right to work in the UK
. - A strong commitment to safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and effectively within your licence and company authorisations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
- A professional and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when completing maintenance documentation.
- A positive, flexible and proactive attitude.
Business jet experience is preferred, but candidates with strong relevant CAT A experience from other aviation environments will also be considered.
Shift Pattern10:00 – 22:00

Salary & Benefits- £45,000 – £50,000 base salary
, depending on experience and qualifications. - £500 per annum per CAT A approval
