Senior RCA Surveyor

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Building Surveyor for Farnham. You will mainly deal with reinstatement cost assessments.
 
The role will be office based 3 days per week.

The Role
 
Team Management and development responsibilities.
Conduct thorough on-site inspections of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
Evaluate building layout, structures, materials, construction methods, and overall condition.
Identify factors that may affect reinstatement costs, including age, specification, and any non-standard features.
Calculate accurate reinstatement costs in accordance with RICS guidance, BCIS indices, and relevant industry standards.
Apply appropriate cost indices and regional adjustments to ensure up-to-date and compliant valuations.
Monitor cost fluctuations and construction market trends to maintain assessment accuracy.
Produce clear, detailed, and professionally presented RCA reports within agreed SLA time frames.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, planning requirements, and relevant industry standards.
Participate in relevant continuing professional development (CPD) and training as required by the business.

Skills / Qualifications
 
Relevant technical / Loss Adjusting experience is desired.
Degree in Building Surveying (BSC Hons).
You will be MRICS qualified.
Conversant with CAD, CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall Act 1996, Building Regulation and Planning Legislation.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
