Senior Engineering Manager

Salary: £90, per year

• Experience leading both development and operations environments
• Experience owning incident management and support, as well as engineering and deployment practices
• Ability to manage significant change, including team integration and migration from legacy to cloud platforms
• Experience retraining developers and sysops during a technology transition
• Experience working in or moving from a legacy environment to a modern cloud stack

• Lead both an Ops team and an Engineering team and initially combine them into a Dev Ops function
• Manage the ongoing development and maintenance of the businesss core product
• Own incident management and support, along with engineering and deployment practices
• Work with the CTO and other technical teams to begin breaking up the product and migrating it to a modern cloud stack
• Lead team integration and support the migration of services from legacy systems to cloud platforms
• Retrain developers and sysops as part of the transition
• Over time, migrate the entire product away from the current environment
• Ultimately own the core product and Dev Ops team in the new modern environment

We are offering a permanent Senior Engineering Manager, Platform and Applications role on a hybrid basis in Surrey, with one office day per week and a base salary of around £90-95K. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the heart of a significant transformation within a legacy engineering team, creating a Dev Ops function and leading the team through the transition to a modern stack.

Our core product is mission critical and generates the bulk of the companys revenue, and we are looking for someone to help shape its future while working alongside the CTO and other technical teams.
