Family Solicitor

We are excited to announce the expansion of our Family Law department. We are seeking a committed Family Solicitor, welcoming applications from NQ solicitors to highly experienced practitioners. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a growing department, contribute to its future direction, and deliver high-quality client care.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, including divorce and separation, financial remedy proceedings, private children matters, cohabitation agreements, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and domestic abuse matters.
- Provide clear, empathetic, and practical legal advice to clients.
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court applications.
- Represent clients in negotiations and hearings where appropriate.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high standards of service.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Family Law department as it grows and restructures.
- Support team members, share knowledge, and engage in collaborative working.
- Participate in business development activities, networking, and raising the department's profile.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEX) - all PQE levels welcome.
- Experience in handling or assisting with a family law caseload.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to work with empathy and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines.
- Desirable:
Experience working within a Legal Aid or privately funded family practice, advocacy experience, interest in supporting the department through change and growth, and a proactive approach to business development and building a personal caseload.
