The workWe are a UK main contractor specialising in heritage refurbishment and premium residential. Tender values typically £300k–£2M, with a steady run of smaller condition‑led remedials alongside.
We need someone who can join the existing team and conduct sites the way they deserve to be run — tools‑on, respectful of the fabric, confident in front of the Conservation Officer, and able to keep a couple of subcontractors moving without losing the standard.
What you will be doingYou will be Buildtonic's face on site. On any given week you will be cutting a scarf joint in a oak purlin, walking a Conservation Officer through a sash sill repair, briefing the lime team on the lath sequence, and writing the weekly progress note that goes to the architect on Friday. You will run the daily plan, the snag list, the H&S file, and the materials call‑off.
You will report straight to the director.
