Process Team Leader - Powder Coatings

Location:

Farnham
Salary: £17.18 an hour = £35,724 per annum (£32,160 basic salary + £3,564 annual shift allowance paid over 12 months)

Hours:

Rotating shifts - 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm

Contract:

The Role

We're recruiting a Process Team Leader to join a busy and well-established powder coatings manufacturer based in Farnham. This is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for supporting daily production operations, coordinating team activities, and ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of Operators to achieve daily production targets
  • Allocate labour and delegate tasks effectively across the shift
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to team members
  • Conduct shift handovers and communicate key information between shifts
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to the Engineering team
  • Monitor production performance and resolve operational issues as they arise
  • Ensure all health & safety procedures and company policies are followed
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the production area
  • Support and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and training
  • Identify training needs and assist in workforce development
  • Provide regular feedback and updates to management
  • Ensure quality control checks and product specifications are consistently met
About You
  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or senior production role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Hands‑on approach with the ability to motivate and support a team
  • Good problem‑solving and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of health & safety requirements within manufacturing
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity
  • Flexible, reliable, and keen to develop within a growing business
